In collaboration with the customer, Soya IT has implemented an integrated Wi-Fi and CCTV solution covering both indoor and outdoor areas of the vessel. The solution enables stable connectivity throughout the ship as well as continuous access to video data from installed cameras.

Results:

Real-time monitoring
Video from onboard cameras is available in real time to both crew and shore-based teams, supporting incident handling and operational follow-up.

Improved transparency between ship and shore:
Operational data and visual information can be shared continuously with shore-based teams, supporting decision-making and collaboration.
Support for mobile ways of working
Reliable Wi-Fi coverage enables the use of mobile devices in daily operations, such as readings, documentation, and troubleshooting.
Improved onboard conditions
Connectivity supports crew communication with the outside world, contributing to working conditions and wellbeing.

The solution is currently in use across the customer’s fleet and forms part of the operational onboard environment.
